Scott and I have finished reading Jesse's World (http://www.capersbookstore.com.au/scripts/shop_item.asp?by=cat&item=1900) by Basia Bonkowski. It's the stories of several international adoptions in New South Wales. Some of them are heart warming, some heart breaking, but most of them a bit of both. We already know that this is what we want to do, but reading the book makes us wonder how could we possibly not?

Is this book something you would share with your kids, or do you think it is too difficult emotionally for that?

It's probably too adult for them, although Gemma may wish to give it a go soon-ish. It's not difficult reading, but it is very emotional reading. I am getting teary again just thinking about it.

Actually Fionn, I hadn't even thought of offering it to Gemma to read, but I will do. Each chapter is a reasonably individual story so she wouldn't have to read the whole thing. Thanks for the suggestion.
